Having trouble subscribing or otherwise listening to the PKP Kast? Here’s a few tips and background information about podcasts, subscribing to them, and how to listen to our podcast.

Subscribing
Subscribing to a podcast is simply requesting to automatically download future episodes of that podcast. It requires two things: an aggregator application, and a hyper-link to the podcast feed. There are many aggregators for podcasts. The most popular is iTunes, but you can visit this link to find more. After you have chosen an aggregator, you will need to add the PKP Kast feed (subscribe). In iTunes, you can subscribe under the Advanced menu or just click here. Just cut and paste in our feed link, which is:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/pkpkast.
After you have subscribed, your aggregator software should download future PKP Kast episodes automatically.

What is AAC? I can’t play AAC files.
AAC is an enhanced media file format. It is superior to MP3 because content can be embedded into the file. This includes chapter markers, images, hyperlinks, and show notes. The PKP Kast feed listed above is broadcast in AAC format.
Despite popular opinion, AAC is not Apple proprietary. For whatever reason, Windows media player does not play AAC files. Quicktime is a good choice. But if you can’t conform and are still dependent on MP3, we offer the PKP Kasts in MP3 format on our downloads page.

No Habla iTunes? Listen from our website.
If you haven’t synced the latest episode to your audio player (usually iTunes), or are still having trouble subscribing and listening to AAC files, no worries. You can listen to all of our PKP Kast episodes streaming directly from our website!
For AAC streams, go to the PKP Kast homepage and click the ‘More’ link below any of our episode postings. For MP3 streams, go to our downloads page.
